How the site works

This is an English translation provided for convenience. Only the French version is legally binding.

Who publishes

Listings are published by private or professional sellers. Every listing states the seller’s status: a “Pro” badge for a professional, the mention “Private seller” (Particulier) otherwise. This status is declared by the seller. For professionals, we check that the SIRET number exists and is active in the official French company register; the mention “Verified business” means only that. It guarantees neither the seller’s reliability nor the condition of the item.

Your rights depending on the seller

When dealing with a professional seller, you benefit from consumer law (pre-contractual information, legal guarantee of conformity, guarantee against hidden defects). When dealing with a private seller, consumer law does not apply: the sale is governed by the French Civil Code (guarantee against hidden defects, unless excluded by contract) and you have no right of withdrawal (droit de rétractation).

Display order

By default, listings are ranked as follows: first the “Featured” listings (À la une), which are paid promotions bought by the seller (7 days) and labelled as such; then the other listings, from the most recent to the oldest. The date taken into account is the publication date or, if the seller has paid for a “bump” (remontée), the date of the bump. Sold listings appear last. You can also sort by ascending or descending price: the price sort then takes no payment into account. Filters do not change the order. No listing is delisted for commercial reasons; a listing is removed only if it breaches the terms of use, if it is sold or if it has expired.

What we earn

The site earns money solely from the services paid for by sellers (publication, featured placement, bump, extension, professional subscription), described on the Prices page. We take no commission on sales and have no shareholding link with sellers.

Your tax obligations

For a private individual, the occasional sale of a second-hand item is in principle not taxable, except in specific cases (capital gain on an item worth more than €5,000 other than vehicles and household furniture, habitual activity). For a professional, sales are taxable income subject to their reporting and social security obligations. Official information: www.impots.gouv.fr and www.urssaf.fr.
